You’ll never be short of things to do in Bali.
From breathtaking nature walks in the rice terraces to an unforgettable trip to the monkey forest sanctuary, Bali has an indescribable charm no matter what part of the island you choose to visit.
But I’ll be honest. When it comes to travel, like I recently did to Indonesia, I feel like there are two types of people.

There are those who plan every detail – from lunches to sunset cocktail spots and activities – months in advance. Then there’s me, who opts for a more rough-around-the-edges approach of finding things to do on the day or at the last second.
This story has a point, I swear.
Recently, I was invited to try Luxury Escapes’ LuxPlus+ package holiday in Ubud, Bali at the jaw-dropping Anandadara Resort and Spa… and let’s just say, my mind was blown.

For a non-planner like me, the package offers everything you need to enjoy a relaxing stay, without having to plan absolutely everything in advance.
Breakfast? Check. Evening cocktail? Big check. Lunch or dinner depending on your day’s plans? Absolutely.
The hotel itself sits in the tropics of Tegallalang, a province just north of Ubud home to Bali’s famous rice terraces and a luxury resort that feels native to its lush surroundings.
There’s a tranquil pool nestled within the lush jungle surroundings, a heated jacuzzi and a spa with a variety of packages to make you feel utterly relaxed.
Sheer paradise.
Myself and my friend – an avid planner – arrived at the hotel in the evening after 30 hours of travel from Istanbul. The hospitality in Bali has always been second to none, and this was no different.
Despite it being late in the evening, we were able to enjoy a two-course meal at around 9:45pm at the exquisite De Daara Eateries located inside the hotel, alongside a delicious cocktail – which you get every night included in the package. No muss, no fuss.

The rooms are out of this world, too. We were lucky enough to stay in the junior suite, a spacious haven complete with a full standalone bathtub to gaze out the window each evening.
That’s not all – you also get one 60-minute massage per adult at L’Sante SPA (located in the hotel – an unbelievably magical addition) as well as a daily replenished minibar.
With such epic inclusions, you don’t really need to do anything but sit back, relax and enjoy.
But you’re also just a short drive to the nearby Ulu Petanu Waterfall, Ubud Markets and the Tegallalang Rice Terraces – Bali’s most photographed destination.
You can also travel to Ubud easily on the daily shuttle, or enjoy a daily early morning rice paddy trek if you wish.
The meals were fantastic. You can select a dish from a specially designed menu for breakfast and your lunch/dinner. I was enjoying dishes such as gado-gado bowls, mie goreng and chicken teriyaki every evening.
Prices for this specific package start from $559 a room for three nights with LuxPlus+ for two guests, which includes a daily a la carte breakfast or in-room dining, daily two-course lunch or dinner (all at deDaara Eateries) and a nightly cocktail.

There are also an abundance of tours available to book online, for which they will pick you up right from the hotel.
I decided on a spiritual shaman tour just 12 hours before pick-up (of course) and within minutes it was all confirmed and the following morning, I was in.
So if you, like me, want to make things a little bit simpler for yourself when going away this year – I couldn’t recommend this LuxPlus+ package enough.
The deal I experienced is available to book until Sunday 8th September, so don’t wait!
